Team Endpoint are pleased to announce we have extended our partnership with global buy and sell technology retailer, CeX. This equity-linked partnership will see Hugh Man and Frank Orchard, respectively the Chairman and Franchise Director of CeX, join the Team Endpoint board in non-executive roles.
We announced our initial partnership with CeX in early 2020, looking to build a community around our teams and streamers and helping gamers and esports fans find more sustainable ways of upgrading their hardware. Now we renew our partnership at an exciting time for Endpoint, as our homegrown teams look to challenge the world's best across multiple titles.
Our Counter-Strike roster is set to compete in the 13th season of ESL Pro League, a global S-tier tournament. This promotion comes after years of success at domestic level, winning a record six ESL Premiership titles, and through ESL's Path to Pro system. Endpoint's Rocket League team are currently competing in the RLCS X against some of the world's best teams. As a top 8 team in Europe, they are hoping to push for a spot in the season-ending $1m Rocket League World Championships. Av3k represents Team Endpoint in the Quake Pro League, where he competes against the best Quake professionals from Europe, and is looking to secure a spot at the global Season 2 finals, set to take place in April.
This seven-figure deal will allow us to guarantee our full-time staff and press ahead with plans to establish a headquarters in Sheffield. This deal, which is set to last a minimum of five years, breaks new ground for a UK domestic organisation, and will provide us with a lengthy period of security in which to continue growing our brand at scale.
With the appointment of Hugh Man and Frank Orchard as our non-executive directors, we will look to establish our brand on the global stage, matching the success our teams have found in recent years. Their deep and varied background in business operations will help us to navigate an ever-evolving industry.
“CeX’s support has been great this year and this landmark deal will enable us to build upon our sustainable business for the next five to ten years. Hugh and Frank coming on board, will bring a wealth of experience with them that will help us elevate our existing operations.” - Adam Jessop, CEO, Team Endpoint
“We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Endpoint who continue to grow in stature not only within the UK esports arena, but also on the global stage. CeX was founded by people with a deep passion for video games and all things tech, so our association aligns well with our shared ambition to have a dominant presence in the online gaming space while continuing to establish and grow our CeX brand worldwide.” - Hugh Man, Chairperson, CeX
