After two weekends of Rocket League action, Endpoint has finished the fall split’s second regional event in 12th-14th place, earning themselves 70 points towards the overall standings. This brings their current point total to 170.
It started last week in stage one, where Endpoint found themselves in group B alongside teams such as Renault Vitality, Team Liquid and Dignitas. Endpoint started the stage with two wins, which came against Glory4Builders and VENC Gaming, who has since seen their roster transferred over to TrainHard eSport. Due to their 2-0 start, Endpoint only needed to take one win out of three games to qualify for the second stage. Unfortunately, they lost back-to-back game fives against Fadeaway and Solary, which brought their record to 2-2. Endpoint came ever so close in both series, losing each of the final games by just one goal. However, the team had no issue making up for it, as they swept Singularity with a total goal differential of 19-3 and secured their spot in stage two.
The day started strong for Endpoint in stage two. They were able to take down Solary in four games, with the final three games all going to overtime. In the second round, however, Endpoint ran in to a formidable opponent: Team BDS, the winners of the first regional event. Team BDS secured the 3-0 series win, however the games were very close, with the final two both going to overtime. Unfortunately, things did not get much easier for Endpoint in the next round, as they came up against former world champions and first regional event semifinalists Renault Vitality. Vitality ended up delivering Endpoint’s second straight 3-0 loss. On the brink of elimination, Endpoint found themselves in another tough match up against Guild Esports. This would end up being the end of the line for Endpoint in the second regional event, as Guild took the 3-1 series win and Endpoint’s overall record fell to 1-3 on the day.
While Endpoint did not make it to the playoffs of this regional event, they still have plenty of opportunities ahead. The team will be back in action on the 11th of September in week six of The Grid and will have the third and final regional event of the fall split starting on the 24th of September.
