After a long 3 weeks between events, Endpoint resumed play in the winter split of RLCS X this past Thursday.
The day started in the first round of the upper bracket. Unlike in the last event, Endpoint was not granted a bye for the first round, so they had to play their way in to round 2. Their first opponent was Rix.GG, and the team was able to get a convincing 3-0 series win to start things off.
In round 2, Endpoint came up against a very tough challenger in Renault Vitality, the current 2nd place team in the table. Endpoint was able to get the win in game 1, but eventually Renault Vitality found their footing and were able to win all of the remaining games, resulting in a 3-1 series loss for Endpoint and a trip to the first round of the lower bracket.
On the second day of the event, Endpoint were looking to kickstart a lower bracket run against Dignitas, a team who was upset in the first round by TrainHard eSport. Similarly to the Vitality series, Endpoint was able to take game 1 but could not hold off Dignitas the rest of the way. The 3-1 series loss to Dignitas was Endpoint’s second of the event, thus ending their run.
The 17th-24th place finish yielded 40 points for the table, bringing Endpoint’s total to 110 for the winter and 930 overall. The team goes again in week 2 of the Grid on the 8th of December and on the 9th of January in the third and final regional event of the winter split.
