As the Winter Split heads towards its major, the fourth and final week of The Grid came to a close this past week.
With the new edition of The Grid came a different format from the one that was in place for the Fall Split. In this circuit, the 16 teams in the competition would see themselves sorted in to 4 groups of 4, which would change every week. The teams would each play the opposition in their group once, and the results would determine seeding for a single-elimination bracket that all 16 teams qualified for. The winner of the bracket would win that week of The Grid.
Endpoint's journey began back on the 26th of November. The team kicked off week 1 in a group with Guild Esports, Giants Gaming, and Wolves Esports. Endpoint lost their first series against Guild, 2-3, and their second series against Giants, 0-3. However, they were able to rebound with a win in the final match against Wolves in a 3-0 sweep. In the bracket, Endpoint came up against Top Blokes, who were able to knock Endpoint out by a score of 0-3. This gave the team a 9th-16th place finish and 10 points for the table.
In week 2, Endpoint's group consisted of Triple Trouble, Oxygen Esports, and Rix.GG. All of Endpoint's series in the group stage went to a game 5, with the team defeating Triple Trouble and Rix.GG, but falling to Oxygen. Endpoint's first bracket match was against Team Liquid, which resulted in a 3-1 win. The quarterfinals would mark the end of the road, though, as Team Singularity prevailed in a 3-0 sweep. This meant a 5th-8th finish in week 2 and 40 points.
The third week saw Endpoint in a group with Oxygen Esports, Rix.GG, and Galaxy Racer. Endpoint lost their first game to Oxygen, 1-3, but won the next two, defeating Galaxy Racer 3-2 and Rix.GG 3-1. Endpoint's first bracket opponent was Wolves Esports, who the team was able to sweep. In the quarterfinals, they came up against Team Liquid, and Endpoint prevailed again with a 3-1 win. In the semifinals, Endpoint faced a tough opponent in Renault Vitality, but were able to pull off a 4-2 series win to earn a spot in the finals. Unfortunately, Dignitas took home the week 3 championship, besting Endpoint 4-0. The second place finish earned the team 110 points.
In the fourth and final week of The Grid, Endpoint shared a group with Team Singularity, Fadeaway, and Guild Esports. Endpoint defeated Guild in the first game, 3-2, but finished with a 1-2 record after falling 1-3 to Singularity and 2-3 to Fadeaway. The run ended for the team in the first round of the bracket after a 0-3 loss to Oxygen Esports, resulting in a 9th-16th place finish at 10 points.
Overall, Endpoint finished with 170 Grid points this split, which was good enough to put them in 10th place. Because of the top 10 finish, the team will automatically qualify for the Spring Split's Grid event.
